Total Of N115,792,760,499 Seized As Property And Cash From Jonathan Aides And Ministers With 25 Still Under Probe

Not fewer than 25 people that served as ministers, advisers and aides under the erstwhile Goodluck Jonathan are currently under probe by anti-corruption agenciesThe Punch is reporting.

According to the report, the 25 are either currently either being investigated or prosecuted by either of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

The probes it said range from $15billion arms scandal and the alleged sharing of N23billion stolen oil funds and other corrupt crimes.

Punch reports that from EFCC and ICPC records, Jonathan’s ministers, aides and advisers under probe include:

Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, whose assets have been seized and accounts frozen Jumoke Akinjide,

Former Minister of State for FCT is being investigated over N650m fraud Amb. Bashir Yuguda,

Former Minister of State for Finance over N450m fraud Amb Aminu Wali,

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs is being probed over N950m fraud Dr. Nurudeen Muhammad,

Former Minister of State, Foreign Affairs, is under probe over misappropriated N500m Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.),

Former National Security Adviser, is alleged to have disbursed about $2.1bn arms money. Senator Bala Mohammed,

Former Minister of FCT Abba Moro,

Former Minister of Interior, Senator Stella Oduah,

Former Minister of Aviation Chief Femi Fani-Kayode,

Former Minister of Aviation Prof. Viola Onwuliri; 

Former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Adoke (SAN),

Former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Senator Joel Danlami,

Former Minister of Labour and productivity Godsday Orubebe, 

Former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs Ibrahim Shekarau,

Former Minister of Education Waripamowei Dudafa,

Former Special Adviser to the President on Domestic Affairs Hassan Tukur,

Former Principal Secretary to the President Dr. Reuben Abati,

Former Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Dr. Doyin Okupe,

Former Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity Kingsley Kuku,

Former Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and the Chairman of the

Presidential Amnesty Programme Col. Ojogbane Adegbe, Jonathan’s Aide-de-Camp Gen.

Jones Arogbofa, the Chief of Staff to the ex-president Jonathan Also under probe, apart from ministers and aides, the report noted are Jonathan’s wife Patience and his cousin Azibaola Robert, the Managing Director of OnePlus Holdings, are also under probe for an alleged $20m and $40m fraud respectively.
