GEJ made the comment while giving the keynote address at the annual Merit Awards Dinner of the Nigerian Lawyers Association of the United States of America yesterday, October 29.
According to the ex-president he said, he ensured that there was both freedom of speech and freedom after speech while his government lasted
However, Jonathan’s statement has infuriated some Nigerians who blasted the former president following his claims.
His critics faulted his claims by citing some instances where people were arrest and datained under his administration. Others said the GEJ’s administration was busy looting the country dry and refused to act when things were going wrong.
